In addition to RAiR (2015-16), Cate was accepted into Atlantic Center for the Arts Master Artist residency with Joan Snyder. Her subject matter runs the gamut from existential reckoning, mundane observations, art historical revisions to satiric media ideal of success, happiness, comfort and romance, to portraits of friends and imagined characters, to journalistic personal experiences from society’s margins.
