Tamarind Institute Printers at RAiR

Two recent graduates from the printer training program at Tamarind Institute in Albuquerque came to the RAiR compound to collaborate with RAiR artists, working in the printmaking studio to print lithographs. Mar Arriaga was here for two weeks while they worked with RAiR artist Tristram Lansdowne; Anna Fiacco is at RAiR for over a month to work with multiple artists.

Larry Bob Phillips, RAiR’s Program Director, said “RAiR is incredibly fortunate to partner with Tamarind Institute each summer. Recently graduated printers-in-training come down and work with interested artists to produce editions. It helps launch the printers’ professional career, gives the artists-in-residence invaluable exposure to the art of lithography and results in gorgeous images.”
