Spanish Souvenirs

Dr. Marina Bengoa is a Spanish pianist originally from Madrid. Bengoa created the website spanishpianomusic.org to promote Spanish music in English-speaking countries. She has been presenting at conferences worldwide and playing piano in prestigious venues in Europe and the United States.

The program "Spanish Souvenirs" results from a deep study, with some recognizable pieces from the Spanish repertoire and others that are unknown. In addition, it includes a presentation of a new work written by the Spanish composer Pascual Gimeno commissioned by Dr. Marina Bengoa.

The program "Spanish souvenirs" represents different folklore styles in Spain and even different representations of flamenco at the beginning of the 20th century and nowadays, becoming a unique "Souvenir" for people to experience Spanish music from different eras.
