Bob Swan

Bob arrived on the grant in the fall of 1990, during the period when the artists only made informal applications to the grant and did not need to provide information. As a result, the only information on file is that he is from South Pasadena California. He is a painter and a genial man; the Anderson Museum owns three of his works, small, thickly-painted abstractions featuring simple rectangles. The complexity lies in the play of vivid colors and the varying textures of the paint, which in some areas is so thick that shadows are cast.
