Brian Myers

Brian Myers received his MFA from the University of Arizona in 1990. Brian works in mixed media combining photography, painting and sculpture while addressing compelling social and environmental issues. Between 1988 and 1991, Brian taught painting and drawing at the University of Arizona, Tucson and the University of Idaho, Moscow. Between 1982 and 2004 he participated in thirty solo and group exhibitions. Besides a RAiR residency, Brian also was a resident at The Virginia Center for the Creative Arts. He was a recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts New Forms Regional Initiative Grant and two Idaho Commission of the Arts Grants. Brian has been designing and building energy efficient custom homes in Silver City, New Mexico. He and his wife, Jennifer, are currently developing a sustainable farm on the Mimbres River with conservation and the protection of endangered species as its focal point.
