Born in Fargo, North Dakota, Bruce Rod (1947- ) taught at universities in Arizona and New Mexico before dividing his time between living in Buenos Aires, Argentina and Los Angeles, California. He graduated with a BA in Sculpture, Ceramics and Printmaking from the Moorehead State University in Minnesota in 1969 and gained a MFA in Sculpture from the University of Wisconsin in 1972. Before his RAiR residency, Bruce had six solo exhibitions and participated in over a dozen group exhibitions. He continued to show his work into the late 1990s. His work has been in the public collections of the Prudential Insurance Company in San Diego and the Arizona State University, just to name a few.
