Daniel Socha  

Lithographic artist Daniel Socha (1943- 2020) was born in Indian River, Massachusetts. He studied at the University of Hartford in Connecticut where he received his BFA in 1966. He graduated with a MA in 1971 from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. Through the University of Illinois, where Daniel became a Professor of Art Emeritus, he received an appointment to the Center for Advanced Study and a Faculty Fellowship for Independent Research.  Solo exhibitions included The Galveston Arts Center, The Art Institute of Chicago, Illinois State Museum, Evansville Museum of Arts and Science, the Marian Locks Gallery in Philadelphia and Exhibit/208 in Albuquerque as recently as 2017.
