Eddie Dominguez

Ceramicist Eddie Dominguez (1957) was born in Tucumcari, New Mexico. In 1981 he earned a BFA in Ceramics from the Cleveland Institute of Art in Ohio. He received his MFA in 1983 from the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University. From 2000 he taught ceramics and sculpture at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. Eddie won the New Mexico Governor’s Award for Excellence in the Arts in 2006 and a Distinguished Professor Grant from the New Mexico Highlands University, Las Vegas in 2008. By 2018 he held over forty-five solo exhibitions and participated in more than 150 group exhibitions. His work is in over thirty-five public collections throughout the United States, including the Smithsonian Institution Renwick Gallery in Washington, D.C. and the Museum of Fine Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
