Michael Waugh
A Fable for Tomorrow
Roswell Artist-in-Residence Exhibition
August 14 - September 27, 2020
Roswell Museum and Art Center
Michael Waugh uses the technique of “micrography,” or pictures made up of minute handwriting, to provide added meaning to literary and political texts. Using text from a 1962 environmentalist work, Rachel Carson’s Silent Spring, Michael builds allegorical landscapes depicting domesticated and wild animals struggling to survive.
The exhibition is viewable by appointment only, September 9-27, Wednesday-Friday afternoons. There is a 5-person group maximum, call 575-624-6744 for more information.
