Howard Storm

Born in Newton, Massachusetts, painter, sculptor and pastor Howard Storm (b. 1946) received his BFA from the San Francisco Art Institute in 1969. From 1970 he graduated with a MA and MFA from University of California, Berkeley and later studied for a MDiv from United Theological Seminary. After the RAiR program he became a professor of art and Chair at Northern Kentucky University in Newport. In 1985 he experienced a sudden life-threatening illness during an art tour in France. From 1992 he became a church pastor in Ohio and Kentucky. Howard wrote a detailed account of the life-changing, faith-affirming time in his life titled My Descent into Death
