James Finnegan 

James Patrick Finnegan (1944) was born in Janesville, Wisconsin and stayed in the state to achieve his BA in 1968 and MFA in 1970 from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He moved to California in the early 1980s and stayed there. From 2000-2018 he taught art and design at Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill, California. James also taught at the University of California at the Davis and Berkeley campuses. Between 1974 and 2018, James held around twenty-five solo exhibitions and participated in over forty group exhibitions, many of which were in Thailand. His work is in the collections of, amongst others, the Srinakhrinwirot University Museum and Rajanmangala University of Technology in Bangkok, Thailand.
