Jillian Denby 

Jillian Denby (1944- ) was born in New York City. She received her BFA from Pratt Institute in New York in 1965 and a MFA from Brooklyn College in 1968. A figurative painter, Jillian received two fellowship awards from the Yaddo Foundation after spending a year painting in Rome, and she is a three-time award recipient of the National Endowment for the Arts. Jillian has had several solo shows in New York and has been represented by the AM Sachs Gallery, Alexander Milliken Gallery, Tatistcheff Gallery and Barney Savage Gallery. Her work has received extensive press coverage from the New York Times, Art in America, and other newspapers and periodicals. The Hirschorn Museum in Washington, D.C., purchased one of the paintings that she did while at RAiR.
