Shana and Robert ParkeHarrison

After years of close collaboration, Robert Harrison and Shana Parkey decided to join their names when they married, recognizing both of them as creators, and are now known professionally as Robert and Shana ParkeHarrison.

Robert was born in Missouri, and studied at the Kansas City Art Institute and the University of New Mexico. Shana got her BFA from William Woods College in Fulton MO and studied for several years at the University of New Mexico. Soon after leaving the grant, their career took off; they have shown their work in over thirty solo exhibitions and about a hundred group exhibitions between 1999 and 2016 across the US as well as in Japan and Europe. They are represented in the public collections of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Whitney Museum of Art, Museum of Fine Arts Houston, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and The Art institute of Chicago and have received a number of grants, including a Guggenheim. They published a major book of photographs, The Architect’s Brother, in 2000.
