Rebecca Davis
Rebecca Davis (1950- ) was born in Denver, Colorado. She gained a BA in Anthropology at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque in 1974. By 1983 her work in natural materials sculpture developed and matured into a collaborative body of work called Wood & Stone, Substance & Spirit created with sculptor (and husband) Roger Asay. This work toured museums and art centers in Arizona and New Mexico for decades, including the Tucson Museum of Art, the Phoenix Art Museum as well as the Roswell Museum and Art Center. Rebecca and her husband created many public sculptures in Albuquerque, Tucson, Phoenix and Prescott.
