Richard Thompson
Richard Thompson (1945 - 2021) grew up on a farm in Dayton, Oregon. His work has been included in two Whitney Museum of American Art Biennials and in numerous museum and gallery exhibitions including those in Australia, the Netherlands and Singapore. He was a professor of painting at the University of Texas at Austin, and Dean for the School of Art and Design at Alfred University in New York until his return to his studio full-time. In addition to RAiR, Richard has been an artist-in-residence in Australia, Anderson Ranch and at Playa in Oregon.
