Robert Jessup 

Born in Moscow, Idaho and raised in Seattle, Washington, Robert Jessup (1952- ) received his BA in Art History and BFA in Painting from the University of Washington, Seattle in 1975, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He gained his MFA in Painting from the University of Iowa, Iowa City, in 1978. By 2015 Robert’s work was exhibited extensively (over sixty solo exhibitions and sixty group exhibitions) and is in numerous private and public collections, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Brooklyn Museum, the University of Virginia, the University of Texas and the Dallas Museum of Art. In 2013, he was awarded a Faculty Fellowship from the Institute for the Advancement of the Arts from the University of North Texas, where he was professor of drawing and painting at the College of Visual Arts and Design.
