Robert Neffson
New York photo-realist painter Robert Neffson (b. 1949) was born in New York City and graduated with a BFA Cum Laude in 1971 followed by a MFA in Painting in 1973 from the Boston University College of Fine Arts. He was awarded scholarships to the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Maine in 1969, the Tanglewood Institute in Lenox, Massachusetts in 1970 and a Fullbright-Hayes Fellowship in Rome in 1976. Robert taught life-painting at, amongst others, Pennsylvania State University, Arizona State University, the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York and the Arts Student League of New York. He has participated in over one hundred group exhibitions and solo-exhibited over a dozen shows, notably with Gallery Henoch, Hammer Galleries and the Bernarducci Meisel Gallery, all located in New York City.
