RAIR Opportunities
The nature of the RAiR Fellowship is informal. There are virtually no obligations on the part of the grantees except to respect the facilities and the privacy of the other artists. There are no teaching, lecturing or exhibition requirements of the Artist-in-Residence. Informal studio visits are occasionally conducted for visiting collectors, dealers or museum staff, but an artist may decline to participate and visits only occur with the grantee's permission.
However, for artists who are interested in working within the local community or surrounding areas, there are opportunities to do so
Solo Exhibition at RMAC
The Roswell Museum and Art Center invites all new fellows to exhibit their work toward the end of their stay. However, this opportunity is optional. Upon acceptance into the program, artists should indicate whether they would like to be scheduled for an exhibition and lecture.
Second Saturdays at RMAC
Paid teaching opportunities are available at the Roswell Museum and Art Center. Second Saturday classes run from January through September and are gallery experiences and hands-on art activities for students in grades 3-12 on the second Saturday of the month.
